Short Biography

Professor Julius Georgiou is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Cyprus. He specializes in biomedical circuits and systems, bioinspired electronics, low-power analog ASICs, and adaptive metasurfaces. His research focuses on developing energy-efficient electronic systems, neuromorphic computing, and non-invasive prosthetic technologies.

Prof. Georgiou has made significant contributions to programmable and reconfigurable metasurfaces, sensor technologies, and integrated circuit design. His work combines insights from biological systems with advanced electronic design to create innovative and efficient solutions.

He has published extensively in top-tier scientific journals and collaborates on projects related to biomedical engineering, signal processing, and next-generation electronics.
